After leaving Nike, I sought to channel the same drive, passion, and creativity into a school setting, addressing the lack of spaces at Stanford University for creatives to showcase their talent in an engaging public environment. Drawing from my experience with Nike, my appreciation for Dover Street Market's ambiance, and the interactive learning approach of the San Francisco Exploratorium, I envisioned an interactive walkthrough shopping experience, Fashion X Market, to feature and sell the works of student artists and designers. Through meticulous planning, collaboration with student artists and vendors on campus, and securing a grant, we turned the Stanford d.school into a showcase for student artists and designers, culminating in an event that drew over 800 attendees, demonstrating our community's potential to create something remarkable.
